Kalu hails Ooni at 85

Eminent business­man and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has described the Ooni of Ife, Oba Oku­nade Sijuwade as a detra­bilized monarch, who is committed to the unity of Nigeria.

Kalu acknowledged the pivotal role the revered para­mount ruler had been playing in promoting social, economic and political development of the country.

In a birthday message signed by his Special Adviser, Prince Kunle Oyewumi, Kalu said: “I join millions of your well wishers, Ile Ife Royal Dynasty and entire people of Ile Ife in celebrating your 85th birthday anniversary. Your reign has brought tremendous development to your kingdom. We appreciate the fatherly role you play on national issues. It is my prayer that God Al­mighty will continue to grant you robust health in serving the people. Again, happy birthday and many happy returns.”
