I’ve postponed my holidays for The Sun awards, says Don Jazzy

 For Michael Collins Ajereh popularly known as Don Jazzy, the Creative Person of The Year 2014 Award bestowed on him by The Sun Publishing Limited “…will open doors for more awards in 2015.”

Speaking shortly after being presented with the letter officially notifying him of the award by The Sun’s Executive Director, Corporate Services, Mr. Steve Nwosu and Entertainment Editor, Mr. Tosin Ajirire, Don Jazzy said: “I am very much happy to receive this award. When I heard about The Sun Awards, I decided to clear my schedule to enable me to attend the ceremony on January 17, though, I’m supposed to go on holidays. I have not been on holidays in the last 10 years, so I decided that this year I am going to take like three weeks off. But because of The Sun Awards, I have postponed my holidays from January.”

Nwosu had earlier read out the letter of award to Don Jazzy to further intimate him on why The Sun has pronounced him the Creative Person of The Year 2014.

Excited, the ace music producer said: “The letter of award alone is like an award for me at the moment, because it’s such an honour to have you come to visit me in my home to give me this letter. I really appreciate it. This is going to be the first award I will be getting in 2015, so hopefully it will open doors for more awards.”

The Sun Awards 2014 will hold on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Eko Hotels & Suites. The event is scheduled to start at 3pm.
