COMMINIQUE ISSUED BY NIGBO UNITY FORUM (NUF) AN IGBO SOCIO-Cultral ORGANISATION FOLLOWING AN EMERGENCY MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 2015 IN AWKA ANAMBRA STATE.

We, Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF) an Igbo socio-Cultral organization gathered on 8 January 2015 in Awka, Anambra State to review the recent happening in Nigeria political space as it affect the Igbo Nation.
We unanimously agreed that having failed to fulfill most of his electoral promises to South East region when compared to other geopolitical regions in the country, that it is now oblivious that President Jonathan led government does not appreciate the unalloyed support of the South East region.
Ndigbo Unity Forum pass a vote of no confidence on President Goodluck led government because of his failure to deliver on his promises to the South East region.
These unanimous votes of no confidence was necessitated by failure to fulfill numerous promises made by President Goodluck Jonathan to the region which include: Inability to deliver on the second Niger Bridge before 2015 as promised by President Goodluck in 2011, Inability to rehabilitate about eighty percent of death traps federal roads in the South East region, relectuancy of the federal government in ensuring that Akanu Ibiam airport is upgraded to International standard. Failure to upgrade SAM MBAKWE airport Owerri to international cargo airport. Fail to site industrial ESTATE in Anambra and Abia state and his administration inability to harness Agric potential in Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo State. Thereby denying the Youths from South East employment in these sectors mentioned. During his campaign in Enugu on Friday 9th January 2015 President Jonathan told the people of South East that he has rehabilitate two thousand kilometers of roads in South East within the past four years. Ndigbo Unity Forum wishes to let our people to know that Mr. President is a LAIR we hereby call on Mr. President to open debate let him tell us in any part of South East where he has Rehabilitate just seventy kilometers roads. He promised to upgrade Enugu Airport to International standard within eighteen in office if he is re-elected for second term come Feb. 14- 2015. This is another plot to hood wink Ndigbo so that we continue to be their political slave who we are today unless we woke from our slumber and reject this P.D.P President candidates because he has nothing to offer Ndigbo. The Onitsha seaport commissioned on 30th August 2012 amidst fanfare by President Jonathan is three years now we yet to see canoe not to talk of big ship there. The much touted 2nd Niger Bridge which they say construction work has started will operate under a public private partnership where even Igbo children yet unborn will have to pay tolls unlike their fellow Nigerians from other parts of the country that enjoy various bridges free of charge, who is fooling who.

WAY FORWARD
In order to ensure that the marginalization of Ndigbo ends, Ndigbo Unity Forum hereby unanimously agreed that. We are going to ensure that every resource with our disposed are used to make sure that only candidate that have the interest of the Igbo at heart are elected.
Ndigbo Unity Forum is calling on all eligible voters to vote for credible candidates notwithstanding party affiliation.
Ndigbo Unity Forum want to inform the various candidates vying for elective posts from governorship candidates to State house of Assembly candidates to start enlighten us on their manifesto or risk rejection at the poll.
Ndigbo Unity Forum, having been informed by credible source that the South East region has the lowest percentage of permanent voters card collected is calling on South East Governors, Local Government Chairmen, Religion leaders and traditional rulers among other stake holders to ensured that they mobilize our people to collect their permanent voters card so that they will not be disenfranchise.
Ndigbo Unity Forum after extensive consultation of major stake holders in the South East will like to inform the general public that President Goodluck Jonathan P.D.P 2015 presidential candidate is not our presidential candidate in the forth coming February 14 Presidential election.
Signed
Augustine Chukwudum                           Chinedu Onyebuchi
        President                                           Secretary General
