Anambra state government yesterday demolished some
buildings contravening stipulated laws and guidelines guiding urban development
and construction, reports www.odogwublog.com.
The Acting General Manager Anambra State Urban
Development Board Mr Amaechina Maduakonam
who supervised the demolition warned developers to always comply with the
provisions of layout schemes and approved building plans while carrying out
their development projects.
The demolition exercise was carried out in offending
site at iyiagu housing estate Awka, old Onitsha Awka road ,Ikenga Ogidi ,Nnewi -Oba
new road ,Oba and best Aluminum crest Omaba phase II layout Onitsha among other
areas.
Mr Amaechina warned developers to always make good
use of the services of professionals and noted that despite the good efforts at transforming our layout for
conducive living environments, some developers still endorse violation of planning
