All Progressive
Glance Alliance ( APGA) Orumba North and South federal Constituency had their
Stakeholders meeting at Awgbu to resolve party issues since after the primary
election and to proffer solution to enable the party win the forth-coming
general election come February 14,2015.
At the meeting , www.odogwublog.com discovered that some of the
party members had grievances over the way the primary election was conducted
and other serious issues which may set the party back from winning the
election.
Determined to resolve all issues raised, the
commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike pointed out to the members that what
could destroy a party at any given time as “saying one thing and doing the
contrary”.
Dr. Akabuike pleaded with them and Anambrarian to try
as much as possible to be prepared physically by making sure they get their
voters’ card to enable them cast their votes in the forth-coming election.
He lamented that there are people contesting for one
position or the other but do not have any voters’ card.
He stressed the need for the voters’ card as what will
give one the edge to cast his/her vote.
Speaking during the meeting, Chairman Orumba North,
Hon. Okey Enekwe disclosed the purpose of the meeting was to reconcile aggrieved
members especially the candidates with some of the aspirants who are bearing
grievances since after the primary election.
According to Hon Enekwe,” APGA is a team that carry
everybody along and that is why we have a formula”.
APGA Leader for Orumba North and South Constituency,
Mr. Okey Ezibe stressed the need for the party to fight away all crackers that
would prevent them from winning the election.
Mr. Ezibe reminded the party members that to join a
party is not by force but a voluntary decision,”What we need to do is to
support all the candidates in the party contesting for the post of Federal
House of Rep. and State House of Assembly so as to enable the party to
progress. Whoever that is not interested in what we are doing can decamp
instead of bring confusion. What we need is one voice and togetherness”, he
warned.
Supporting what the party leader said, the aspirant
for Federal House of Representative, Dr. Ifeanyi Hygers Igwebuike explained
that it is how one carries his party determines the progress and how to win the
election. He pleaded for togetherness to enable them achieve their target in
the party.
In his words, “we have been given mandate and what we
expect is victory and the party must progress. We are given task to deliver and
we appeal to the party members to support the candidate to enable them to
deliver”, he stated.
While granting interview with www.odogwublog.com reporter, Dr. Igwebuike who is an economist
and a retired military officer promised to use every opportunity available to
ensure that Orumba North and South youths are given adequate attention by
empowering them with good jobs, skill acquisition as well as make their welfare
a priority.
He appealed to
the Independent National Electoral Commission to be neutral as not to violate
the electoral rules.
Also, the candidate for State House of Assembly under
the umbrella of the party, Hon Romanus Obi called on INEC to avoid using ad-hoc
staff that are not trained and experienced adding that they might compromise
the electorates.
