APGA Members Advised to work as a team in Orumba North and South



All Progressive Glance Alliance ( APGA) Orumba North and South federal Constituency had their Stakeholders meeting at Awgbu to resolve party issues since after the primary election and to proffer solution to enable the party win the forth-coming general election come February 14,2015.

At the meeting , www.odogwublog.com discovered that some of the party members had grievances over the way the primary election was conducted and other serious issues which may set the party back from winning the election.
Determined to resolve all issues raised, the commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike pointed out to the members that what could destroy a party at any given time as “saying one thing and doing the contrary”.
Dr. Akabuike pleaded with them and Anambrarian to try as much as possible to be prepared physically by making sure they get their voters’ card to enable them cast their votes in the forth-coming election.
He lamented that there are people contesting for one position or the other but do not have any voters’ card.
He stressed the need for the voters’ card as what will give one the edge to cast his/her vote.
Speaking during the meeting, Chairman Orumba North, Hon. Okey Enekwe disclosed the purpose of the meeting was to reconcile aggrieved members especially the candidates with some of the aspirants who are bearing grievances since after the primary election.
According to Hon Enekwe,” APGA is a team that carry everybody along and that is why we have a formula”.
APGA Leader for Orumba North and South Constituency, Mr. Okey Ezibe stressed the need for the party to fight away all crackers that would prevent them from winning the election.
Mr. Ezibe reminded the party members that to join a party is not by force but a voluntary decision,”What we need to do is to support all the candidates in the party contesting for the post of Federal House of Rep. and State House of Assembly so as to enable the party to progress. Whoever that is not interested in what we are doing can decamp instead of bring confusion. What we need is one voice and togetherness”, he warned.
Supporting what the party leader said, the aspirant for Federal House of Representative, Dr. Ifeanyi Hygers Igwebuike explained that it is how one carries his party determines the progress and how to win the election. He pleaded for togetherness to enable them achieve their target in the party.
In his words, “we have been given mandate and what we expect is victory and the party must progress. We are given task to deliver and we appeal to the party members to support the candidate to enable them to deliver”, he stated.
While granting interview with www.odogwublog.com  reporter, Dr. Igwebuike who is an economist and a retired military officer promised to use every opportunity available to ensure that Orumba North and South youths are given adequate attention by empowering them with good jobs, skill acquisition as well as make their welfare a priority.
He appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission to be neutral as not to violate the electoral rules.
Also, the candidate for State House of Assembly under the umbrella of the party, Hon Romanus Obi called on INEC to avoid using ad-hoc staff that are not trained and experienced adding that they might compromise the electorates.
