90-year-old woman, family of 4 rescued from kidnappers

A family of four, including a pastor, one Adebusola of Winners Chapel in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been rescued from kidnappers.

Also, a 90-year-old woman, Agiri Yard, who was kidnapped at Umeh in Isoko South Council Area on December 29 was rescued while three persons involved in the act had been arrested by the police, according to Delta State Police Command’s spokespersons, DSP Celestina Kalu.

Kalu said three gunmen ambushed Adebusola, his wife, Olubisi and two female children – Damilola and Rukevwe, on December 21 last year while going to church at about 6.30am in their Honda Pilot Jeep.

She said the hoodlums, who were operating on a motorcycle popularly known as Okada, ordered the pastor out of the driver’s seat and sandwiched him along with other victims at the back seat before speeding off to unknown destination.
