A
peoples Democratic Party stalwart, Sir George Ezenwa has said that the heat
generated by 2015 general election campaign by political parties trying to
outwit themselves in the ongoing campaign is a welcome development and a show
of democratic practice in action, reports www.odogwublog.com .
According
to Sir George who spoke to the press in Awka ahead of the elections, the struggle
by the opposition party to gain more grounds and create more political relevance
is unprecedented.
The
political analyst of international repute stated that the political benefits of
any strong opposition is that if any party wins the presidential election and
wins more seats in the National Assembly elections by a slim margin against
other opposition parties, it will seat up in its act of governance.
On
the confusion created by the multiple presentation of candidates for elective
positions by political parties especially in Anambra state, he said Nigerians
demand to know which organization such as the INEC, the court or the political
parties are responsible for bringing up candidates for elective positions.
Sir
George expects the electorate to be wise in making their political choice on who
their leaders will be during the forthcoming general elections.
In
a related development, another political analyst, Mr. Cyril Anetoh a COREN
inspector in Anambra State advised the electorate to shine their eyes in
electing leaders who will represent them well.
According
to Mr. Anetoh, the truth of good governance is being witnessed in Anambra State
where the governor of the state Chief Willy Obiano is proving his mettle and
justifying the electoral mandate given to him.
