2015: Buhari touched and received Bible from Bishop Ibezim in Anambra

All Progressives Congress (APC) P r e s i d e n t i a l standard bearer, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Bu­hari (rtd), yesterday, received a copy of the Holy Bible to inspire him on the ongoing campaign.

The Anglican Bishop of Awka, Rt. Rev. Alex Ibezim, who gave the spe­cial gift to Buhari when the APC candidate and his en­tourage paid him a courtesy visit at the Biahop’s Court, Awka, urged him and other candidates to ensure that their campaigns were vio­lent free.

Addressing the crowd, Buhari assured the people that he would revamp the energy sector so as to stim­ulate industrialization in which the Southeast plays a major role.

He also promised to tackle the insecurity in the country and also enhance the education sector.

He berated the Federal Government under the PDP-led administration, saying that it used the secu­rity force it would have de­ployed to rescue the Chibok girls to rig Ekiti State gov­ernorship election.

Buhari called on the peo­ple to collect their voters’ card so as to be able to ef­fect the needed change.

Also speaking, the APC Presidential Campaign Council Coordinator for South-East, Senator Chris Ngige, urged Ndigbo to put a stop to what he called PDP deceit by voting massively for APC.

In his speech, the Gov­ernor of Imo State, Ow­elle Rochas Okorocha, described as lies the pro­paganda by the PDP that Buhari would Islamize the country if elected into pow­er. He wondered how Bu­hari, a former military Head of State, who ruled with decrees but did not Islamize Nigeria could do so under a democratic rule.
