Primary election in Awka North and South was inconclusive due to the people's refusal to use the wrong list brought to the arena by the officers ----Hon Emeke Nwogbo , incumbent memeber representing the federal constituency in a chat with www.odogwublog.com

The APGA National Assembly primary election failed to hold even till 9:30pm as the people resisted attempt to use the wrong list that is different from the Authentic list of the delegates that emanated from the ward delegates election.

It may be recalled that APGA last week held ward congress for the purposes of electing delegates that will elect the party candidates during the primary election.

As early as 8AM yesterday (4/12/2014) the elected delegates and other party faithfuls were already in the venue of the election (BanHill Hotel, Awka) waiting for the panel that will conduct the said election .

The panel came around 6:50pm, but tension went up when they brought out the delegates list that contradicts the list of elected party delegates.

Most of the party faithfuls especially those elected by the party members protested and insisted that the Party must use the list of those that emerged from the various wards for the election since it was the same Party that conducted the delegate election where party members were elected for the purpose of the primary election.

Awka North and South Federal Constituency is a Constituency that the Party has its members as the incumbent Hon member of the House of Rep and also the only member that stayed back with the Party when most of the party members in the House of Rep defected to the PDP (Hon Emeka Nwogbo) who is seeking to return to the House through the same party.

Hon Emeka Nwogbo, Uche Onyiriofo and Chief Ezenagu (Ochedo Mgbakwu) are the three contenders for the APGA ticket for the Constituency.

It was rumoured that one Awka Chief, in the person of Augustine Ndigwe (Uzu Awka) was behind the attempt to used doctored lists as the angry party faithfuls nearly beat him up.

Most of the party members that spoke with us stated that they are really disappointed with events in the Party they hold so dear for years and wondered what is going on.

A woman that don't want her name to be mentioned asked: What is going on with our APGA? It is UnAPGA !

“APGA is not known for this types of list doctoring and if this hold, we don't mind going naked to protect and Curse whoever that is behind it .Yes I said going naked ...how can I go house to house to convince our party men and women to vote for me in the delegate and they did only for someone to change my name? Mbanu adi eme ya eme!” She said.

Mr Emejulu , also told our reporter that the more he tried to convince himself that this is APGA, the more the happenings tells him otherwise .

Hear him: “I am a retiree and joined this APGA as far back as 2003, at the formation stage. APGA has been known to be civil, but what I am witnessing today is something beyond my imagination. Oh, my APGA has been infiltrated by the agents of darkness! Can you imagine; till this 9:11PM they are yet to come with list for election?

Security:

We must also appreciate the role of the security agents in the venue. If not for the presence of over 100 police men and women and SSS personnels, it ought to be a very bad news for the party and some of the families of the likely victims.

Efforts to speak with the panel members proved abortive as they later went away that night without having the election conducted.

The question is: what is happening in APGA especially as it concerns Awka North and South Federal Constituency primary election?
