South East CD’s Chairman Sex Romp Scandal: I am Vindicated, Says Dede Uzor A Uzor

Chairman of Campaign for Democracy (CD) Southeast zone Mr. Uzoma Anunihu but widely known as Dede Uzor A Uzor was in the news over sex scandal. It was reported widely in the social media that he engaged a 7 months pregnant woman in a sexual romp which led to her death in a hotel located at Awka Road in Onitsha.

Dede Uzor is an Onitsha based Human Right Activist but has delved into several unions in the state including the market leadership and Motorcycle and Keke Napep operators commanding a huge followership. He has fought many battles even with the Nigerian police over intimidation and harassment of his people.

So the news circulated wide including in www.odogwublog.com and coming from a very believable source, the Nigerian police. That pained the coalition of Civil Society groups in Anambra state as that was a dent.

The truth is appearing now and www.odogwublog.com demanded for clarification from Dede Uzor A Uzor in far away Jerusalem, the Israeli capital.  Uzor was in the Holy land o Pilgrimage on the platform of member of Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association (AMATAAS), where he is the spokesperson.

Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Odogwu Media, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, JP personally was shocked when I sighted him at Israel because we were told he was arrested  and detained since the incident and would be charged after investigations. There was no anticipation of seeing him first at Istanbul, Turkey and later in Israel.

There was no pretence as I confronted him with the hard facts in the story. That story dwelt on so many personal things ordinarily should not be linked to the story like his friendship with           Deputy Inspector General of Police , Mr Bala Nassarawa and OC SARS in Anambra, CSP James Nwafor accusing them of not knowing Dede Uzor’s true colour hence they engage in deals with him by sharing bail charges among other unprintable allegations. The report claimed the police family sponsored his mothers burial at Amaifeke, Orlu Imo state. They alleged that he brain washed Keke Napep members to be their Trustee.

The report claimed he was a former member of Deeper life but because of his crooked way of making money especially anything in skirt even when he is marrying a beautiful lady who he parades as the coordinator for Women Arise for Change Initiative, an NGO founded by Joe Odumakin. The report said he has five unregistered NGO’s which he is using for inordinate money making in the name of activism. It alleged he owned many shops at Ogbo Ogwu and other markets.

The reporter of this report, one Cletus Chiadikobi circulated it widely and claimed that Nassarawa wanted to assist cover up Uzor but officers on ground foiled it as allegedly confirmed by PPRO Uche Ezeh and Area Commander, Benjamin Wordu.

www.odogwublog.com called Dede Uzor A Uzor then for clarification but he was not picking. And the curiosity was high during the encounter. Ordinarily, my anticipation was attack but he did not do that. He explained his role and what happened. I picked some holes in the initial report celebrated. On principal, I suppose to tender an apology on behalf of other social writers but I did not do such thing, because he is having a right of reply.  

Uzor said the report was orchestrated by his enemies to run him down because of his towering portfolio in the state, describing it as fabricated tissues of lies. There was no such thing he said.  

‘’The report was unfounded, false and outright fabrication’’ but ‘’there was a pregnant woman who I knocked down in a ghastly motor accident involving my car , a Toyota Camry at Ugwunabampka road In land tow Onitsha at about 8 pm.  The lady died on the spot. He pleaded with passersby who assisted him rush the woman to the hospital nearby where she was confirmed dead and pregnant. And he ran to the Nigerian Police station at Inland town and reported himself. He handed himself over.

The police in their wisdom detained him to avoid the family’s wrath and ensure peace between the two families. The road users and people living around the scene of the accident he said are his greatest witnesses.

His words,  "this accident happened at Ugwunabankpa road and people were
there as eye witnesses to it but one junk journalist who is working for my
enemies as his pay masters twisted the story in the social media that
the woman died consequent upon a marathon sex with me, you can imagine
the damage the report could have done to me all this while as I was in
detention waiting for police investigation and autopsy result.

"The report is unfounded because I had no business at any hotel in
Awka road, I don't even know of any hotel in that axis not to talk of
taking a woman, pregnant one for that matter for sex, this is pure
fabrication aimed at soiling my name but the police and the medical report
had vindicated me after thorough investigation and I have told my
Lawyer to take it up with the junk journalist’’.

Dede Uzor said there is no hotel along Awka road and wondered why the journalist would be in a hurry to dish out lies to the public for pecuniary interests. He alleged that the writer must be connected to report on a popular gospel singer Gozie Okeke saga. He wondered why his personal life which has no relations to the accident he had or the fabrication they dished out for the public to believe came as major issues of discuss in the write up.

He queried, "If he denies that he was not paid to black mail me and dent my image
what business has he to write about my business at Bridge head, what
business has he to link what he said happened at Awka road with my
mother's burial, what business has he to link what he said happened at
Awka road with senior police officers who are on their own, he will
have to answer all these questions in court. This is the last straw that breaks the camel’s back.

‘’I am in Israel because I was innocent of sex romp allegations but even at that had it been there was such agreement to have sex in the so called hotel in Awka road where you and I know there is none , should there be a case there? A woman consenting for sex in a hotel and accidentally dies and what the hell are we talking about?

‘’In the spirit of Christmas and the Holy Land I went where I prayed seriously, I will take the issue up legally and in the most civil conventional way of adjudication as I am pained to the extent I feel like going to his house to listen to him explain how he came about these lies just for a paltry sum that would not last.

I got almost a million calls and I kept clarifying my role on the sad story. Rather than focus on how to remedy the life of the young girl accidentally killed , they are busy fabricating lies. If they had written I knocked down a pregnant woman and she died , it is what happened and we would be full of shame for driving to the extent of killing a human being. I regret her death and I am still pained for that. I am sympathizing with the family and I am assuring them that I will do everything within my reach to support them to reduce the pains of losing a dear one. May her soul rest in peace…………………(he started crying and wept like a baby)

He apologized to his friends and fans all over the world for that negative publicity and for  the accident that got a life lost.
