Interesting
things are happening in Anambra state as Governor
Willie Obiano of Anambra State will be the special guest of honour during the
maiden edition of the Anambra Heritage Festival.
The festival kicks off on
December 22nd at Rojenny Stadium complex, Oba, Anambra State.
Already,
the state government says it has concluded preparatory plans towards a grand
and successful staging of the cultural festival holding between December 22nd
to 24th.
The
festival, which is in its first edition is an initiative of the Governor Obiano
administration and is aimed at promoting culture of the people and to deepen
the Anambra heritage.
Part
of the objectives of the three day festival, according to the organisers is to
create a rich cultural platform to bring Anambrarians together and sensitise
the people to show respect for their arts and culture.
In
order to make the festival a huge success, the government has promised to
ensure adequate security through the state’s security outfit ‘’Operation
Kpochapu” in and around Oba environ during and after the duration of the
festival.
According
to the event organisers, ‘’great fun and excitement awaits participants and
tourists to the festival as the state government has made renewed assurances to
safeguard Oba and its environs”.
