Obiano Will Make APGA Proud, Says Umeh

The APGA National Chairman – Chief Victor Umeh extolled the virtues of the Anambra state Governor, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano, while presenting him as Party Leader at the special National Convention held Wednesday, 17/12/14.

The National Chairman said that close watchers of the Governor have affirmed that he walks and breathes APGA, flying its flag, day, night, at home, the office and even on his car.

When asked if the flag must be flying everywhere, the Governor replied, "Why not?"

Chief Victor Umeh regretted the rash of court cases and the absence of a supreme influence in the party to calm restive nerves. Chief Umeh while presenting the Governor of Anambra State for consideration as the leader of the party re-iterated

-the need to have a leader who can call people to order

-one who has vowed and demonstrated that he can keep the party strong.

Chief Umeh re-iterated that the National Working Committee had voted to approve the Governor as the Leader of the Party and Chairman of its Board of Trustees, on the 3^rd of November 2014.

Oyo State APGA Chairman – Deacon Samson Olalore, moved a motion to have the convention ratify and adopt the Governor as Leader of the Party, Akunwata Mike Kwentoh – Chairman Anambra State APGA,  seconded the motion.

The National convention unanimously adopted the motion.

Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu immediately congratulated the new party leader, followed by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), the Party's Gubernatorial and senatorial candidates from across the federation.
