Breaking: Man Kills Self, Wife In Anambra over scuffle , Mother to be buried this month

Residents of Nanka Street, Odume Layout Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, could describe today as a black Tuesday sequel to committing of suicide by a man who shot himself in the stomach after first shooting his wife.

www.odogwublog.com gathered exclusively the man, a father of four, identified as Willie Nwafor, a trailer driver that nobody could say what caused the incident apart from alleged misunderstanding by the couple which led to the shooting of the wife by the husband. And in other not to be alive to face the public odium, he committed suicide.

The couple allegedly is from Okpalaebutele village of Ndiokpalaeke Community, Orumba North Local Government Area of the State.

It was alleged that during the scuffle, one of the children reportedly tried to separate the duo but to no avail which angered him and he reportedly left them in a flat of three-storey building and went down stairs.

On coming back later he saw the couple in their pool of blood with the gun and shouted which attracted neighbours and passers-by.

They were however rushed to a nearby hospital where they were confirmed dead as a result of gunshot injuries they sustained.

www.odogwublog.com gathered from Ajalli the headquarters of the local government that the late Willie lost his mother Sophina Nwafor and was planning for her burial sometime this month before this ugly incident happened.

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Awada Police Division could not be reached and the PPRO Anambra state command Uche Ezeh said the police is yet to be briefed on that even though a senior Police Officer who pleaded anonymity stated that the matter has been transferred to the State Intelligent and Investigative Bureau, SIIB, for further investigation.

The President General of the Community , Elochukwu Igboanugo , when contacted through the government House Awkan for comments said he has not been briefed and was just hearing the story from this reporter.
