The maiden edition of the Anambra Heritage Festival was colourful. Governor Willie Obiano kicked off the ceremony on December 22nd at Rojenny Stadium complex, Oba, Idemmili South local government area and ended on 24^th December,2014.

www.odogwublog.comt reports that it was indeed fun and exciting as participants and tourists to the festival were glad they did even as the state government made renewed assurances to make it an annual event.

 Obiano’s administration initiated it as a means of  promoting culture of the people and to promote the Anambra cultural heritage,  create a rich cultural platform to bring Anambrarians together and sensitise the people to show respect for their arts and culture.

 ‘’Operation Kpochapu”  was on duty in and around Oba and environs during and after the  festival .
