It appears former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State has moved on against the tides of criticisms and position he is currently experiencing from some section of Anambra state politicians.

He was at Holy Name Secondary School, Umuchu, Aguata local government area yesterday and presented them with a cheque of N2,000,000 Naira (Two Million Naira). Obi had earlier presented the school a cheque of N5,000,000 Naira( Five Million Naira).
After the presentation, he called on wealthy   Anambrarians to support worthy causes that will elevate humanity especially education noting  that there is no support to education that is too much.
Obi said it gave him special happiness to assist in building a better society through support to education, which he said was the most portent tool for competition in the world.
He described children as the future of the society, adding that the only way to make that future meaningful was by investing in what will help to nurture that future such as education.

On how he has been able to raise the money to support different schools and  micro credit schemes through the Churches, he said it was through appeal to organizations and individuals of goodwill.

When asked to comment on the reaction that followed his joining of the PDP, Obi replied wryly: "God gave us eyes in front to look forward and not backwards."
