Target Health Education and Economic Empowerment Initiative Foundation (THEEE INITIATIVE) , a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) based in South-East and with headquarters in Enugu state has donated an ultra modern borehole to the Akwu Village in Achi Community of Oji River local government area.


The borehole was constructed by the founder of  the THEEE Initiative and wife , Mr. Victor Obi-Anadiume and wife Lady U Obi-Anadiume and handed over to the community leadership led by the traditional ruler of Akwu, Igwe Apostle Ginger Ibeneme, Eze Akwunubi 1 of Akwunubi Kingdom .
Obi-Anadiume and wife Lady U also donated a refurbished Patrol vehicle to the Nigerian Police as received by the Area commander of Oji River, Polycarp Dibia and then DPO of Oji River, Uchenna Anionwo in a splendid ceremony.
THEEE Initiative did not stop there as it donated computers to all the secondary schools in Oji River local government area as well as assisting malnourished children, challenged infants, endowed indigents with food and beverage complement  and widows and widowers with bags of rice and other food stuff as well as capital to jump start their businesses.
At the function well attended by traditional rulers including Igwe Dr Ralph Nzekwe , Ezeoha 1 of Amaetiti kingdom and town union Presidents General as well as the clergy and government officials including the Commissioner for Rural Development in Enugu state, Hon  Dr Eric Oluedo , Nze 1 of Abuogu kingdom commended the selfless philanthropy of Mr Obi-Anadiume and wife Lady U for his people.
Dr Oluedo while commissioning the borehole reiterated that Obi-Anadiume is acting based on his training as a Pharmacist and his fond name   Omeluora 1 of Akwu-Achi and urged him to extend his Philanthropy beyond Akwu-Achi but confessed he has been taking care of his people based on commendations and side talks during the event.
The traditional ruler, Igwe Apostle Ginger Ibeneme while receiving the borehole on behalf of the community said Akwu Achi cannot tell its story without Obi-Anadiume and wife Lady U as well as their children-Victor Obi-Anadiume Jnr,  and Michael Obi-Anadiume. 
Igwe Ibeneme charged other members of the community blessed by God to ensure they emulate Obi-Anadiume and family in doing charity unconditionally as he has done  much for the youths, widows and almost everybody in the community in one way or the other and called on prayers for him to succeed and be alive for the community.
Earlier, the Founder of THEEE Initiative, Mr Victor Obi-Anadiume said the donations including refurbished patrol police van and the borehole as well as the computers to 15 secondary schools in Oji River local government area and other donations and support to widows and families were from Lady U and Victor Obi foundation and the THEEE Initiative.
Obi-Anadiume who doubles as Executive Chairman of Lady U and Victor Obi foundation and THEEE Initiative said the commissioning of the borehole at Obodo Ukwu Autonomous community and other donations have made his day. He said the Lady U and Victor Obi foundation and THEEE Initiative are registered non-governmental and non-profit making organizations set up to give a helping hand to members of the community and beyond in any capacity to make their lives better.

He said , ‘’These non profit making and non-governmental is established with primary purpose of empowering the less privileged and down trodden , helping the malnourished, challenged infants, endowed indigents/widows/widowers. To jump start business enterprise at grassroots/ community level as well as sponsorships and provisions of soft and or revolving loans which is still ongoing.

He further reminded that the foundations have been in Philanthropy in the last  five years and have impacted positively in the lives of the people within the state and beyond , adding that his family has been by the grace of God the sole financier of all the resources expended on the various projects executed.

Obi-Anadiume listed some of their activities to including financial empowerment of men, women , youths , families and schools, scholarships, Churches , Security , organizations and musicians , international sporting supports and sponsorships within and outside the country.

He said good health promotions were not left out , as well as child alleviating medical conditions , disbursement of interest free revolving loan facilities to petty traders , artisans , market men and women , unemployed persons , apprentices from within and outside the country particularly Nigerians in Diaspora among others.  

He said the foundations have been expanded and extended in a new era to basic amenities with the commissioning of the borehole water project at Achi community and computers to secondary schools in Oji River as well as a refurbished patrol van for security for police, adding that the philanthropy are his ways of appreciating God with his family for His blessings. 

Widows and widowers smiled home with thousands of bags of rice, condiments to cook the rice with, hundreds of cartons of tomatoes , complementary feeding cereals, high quality milk and right nutrient composition , wrappers to wear and look good among other gifts worth millions of naira courtesy of  the two foundations -- Lady U and Victor Obi foundation and THEEE Initiative
