Moses makes European Team of the Week

              

Nigerian international, Victor Moses, has been named in WhoScored.com’s European Team of the Week after his performance for Stoke City last weekend.

The Super Eagles midfielder, who has been overlooked for the double header AFCON 2015 qualifier against Sudan and South Africa, scored his first goal for The Potters in the 2-2 draw against West Ham on Saturday. The 23-year-old got 9.32 points for his performance to earn a place in Europe’s best XI.

Alexis Sanchez, who is WhoScored.com’s European Player of the Week, turned out a 10-out-of-10 performance for Arsenal in their 3-0 win over Burnley on Saturday, an encounter he scored twice in.

The Gunners star is partnered up front by Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo, who was at his best for Los Blancos once again, netting one and assisting two to help send Madrid to the summit of La Liga in their 4-0 win at Granada.

Joining Moses in a 4-4-2 formation is Wolfsburg’s duo of Kevin De Bruyne and Ivan Perisic, while Luca Rigoni of Palermo completes the pairings.

Shkodran Mustafi who was at centre-back in Valencia’s 3-1 win at Villarreal, is partnered by Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly at the heart of the back line.

Manchester City’s Gael Clichy comes in at left-back this week, while Jens Wemmer completes the back line as high-flying Paderborn continued their good start to the season.

Completing WhoScored.com’s European Team of the Week is Atalanta goalkeeper, Marco Sportiello, who was on form to help secure points against Napoli and Torino with a combined seven saves over the two fixtures.
