How Ngige Boys Numbering 4000 Decamped to APGA , Protests No level play ground

This is certainly not the best moment for the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Anambra state, as more than four thousand members of the party led by its former state chairman, Chief Amechi Obidike, dumped the party and joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), in Awka, weekend.

Receiving the crowd of decampees into the APGA, the state governor Chief Willie Obiano assured them of room for all. According to him, "the APGA is a party for all in Nigeria, but above all it is the party for Ndigbo and should be embraced by all Ndigbo wherever they are in the country.
"APGA is open to all Nigerian citizens and has its bedrock and foundation in Igboland. Therefore it's our identity", Obiano added.
The governor also urged the Igbo nation to vote APGA everywhere the are. He pointed out also that APGA adopted President Goodluck Jonathan as it's presidential candidate long before his own Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) joined in his adoption. He reiterated that APGA shall field brilliant candidates in all elective positions in the forthcoming general election, apart from the Presidential slot.
Receiving the new entrants, the national chairman of APGA chief Victor Umeh said he was happy to witness the event. That he welcomes them with open hands believing they would help to build and strengthen the party.
He assured them of equal rights and privileges as members with others. He thanked God that it's evident the blockade preventing core Ndigbo from joining the party is now off.
The chairman said that the party is waxing stronger by each second and looks good to making in-roads to other states in the SouthEast and other parts of the country during the coming general elections.
Chief Obidike who was the former state chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, and was also the former state chairman of the APC who led the new members said they would have moved long before now, but had hoped in vain for the restructuring and provision of level play field for all.
He led the former Woman Leader, Youth Leader, Organizing Secretary, larger number of the state's 21 council chairmen, their exco sand members, including Chief C. C. Nnoli numbering about four thousand to APGA.
They were instantly provided with APGA uniforms and membership cards. Two months ago some other key APC in Aguata led by Chief Ben Oranusi joined APGA for same reason. Also, other key sponsors of the party in the state including industrialist Chief Goddy Ezeemo and others have all left the party due to lack of internal democracy, and Obidike in an interview expressed fears about the survival of the party after the 2015 general elections in the state.
He accused the leadership of the party of non-transparency.
