Group Warns Politicians to desist from Setting Governor Obiano and President Jonathan on War part; Protests attack on Obiano , Umeh and Nwankwo

A group under the auspices of Anaocha -Dunukofia -Njikoka people’s forum, yesterday warned politicians in Anambra state to desist from spreading malicious rumours capable of creating rift and tension between the Anambra state government led by Governor, Chief Willie Obiano and the Federal government led by President Goodluck Jonathan.

 The group also alleged a plot by those they described as enemies of democracy and good governance to set up President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Willie Obiano, Sir Victor Umeh and Mr. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo on war path with intension to deprive their son Nwankwo from contesting under All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

A press statement made available to Daily Independent and signed by National Coordinator of the group, Modestus Ubajiaku and secretary Maduabuchi Nwokoye, accused a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart of spreading the malicious and undignifying stories against the trio in a bid to stop the National Assembly ambition of Dozie Nwankwo and Sir Victor Umeh.

The group further alleged that some people masquerading as Presidential appointees in Aso Rock are bent on creating a rift between the president and Anambra Governor Willie Obiano and ultimately make the state ungovernable and as well create the impression that Obiano’s government is against President Jonathan.

The release lamented that these desperadoes alleged that Nwankwo has been convening meetings for the River State Governor, Chief Rotimi Amaechi and the Anambra state Governor, Chief Dr. Willie Obiano against President Goodluck Jonathan.

The group condemned the activities of those spreading the rumour against patriotic citizens of Anambra and stated categorically that there is no such plot against Mr. President and that President Goodluck Jonathan should discountenance these allegations as they are not only unfounded but smacks of giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it.

They insisted that Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo is a card carrying member of APGA and has obtained the party nomination form to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat for Anaocha –Dunukofia –Njikoka constituency, and hopefully will win the election for APGA following his track records and victory at the polls in 2011 when he contested against Hon Uche Ekwunife as a first timer in election contest.

The Anaocha -Dunukofia -Njikoka people’s forum reminded that APGA as a party has endorsed Mr. President as its presidential candidate in the 2015 general election; hence, Nwankwo being a loyal party member cannot play anti party activities to the re-election of President Jonathan or play politics with the stand of the party.

They lamented that it is the same cabal that undemocratically stripped Dozie Nwankwo of his 2011 mandate that are out again to deprive the constituency of its right to populist , humanist, and effective representation at the National Assembly.

Anaocha -Dunukofia -Njikoka people’s forum wondered if the cabal are afraid of Mr. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo’s over ten years successes in his educational and vocational foundation which has endured him to the people.
