Atiku Abubakar’s wife called to the Bar

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is one politician that has a large fan base.
Call him a celebrity politician and you won’t be farther from the truth. With the coming of the youth dominated social media, the founder of the American University Nigeria (AUN) has gained for himself a new legion of admirers who daily tweet on his social and political life. For years, Atiku, who has remained successful in business as well as in politics, garnered tremendous goodwill through his generosity. Though, he has long had his sights on the presidency with his first attempt being in 1993 under the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Turakin Adamawa’s has the enviable achievement of being the only Nigerian to occupy the number two seat for eight years. Based on this, some would say he is the most influential Vice President.
However, on Tuesday, the well-connected politician turned 68. But that wasn’t the only reason he celebrated. Also the same day, his fourth wife, Dr. Jennifer Jamilah Douglas, was called to the Nigerian bar.
