The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Princess
Chinwe Nwaebili, has denied the insinuation that the members of the State House
of Assembly are at war path with governor Willie Obiano, over automatic ticket
to contest the forthcoming election .
odogwublog.com reports that the rumour mill over the
automatic ticket negotiated by the Speaker and some of the House members was
made public today in a National Daily not odogwublog.com. The speaker was
said to be in high lobbying to ensure she takes over from Hon Afam Ogene,
member representing Ogbaru who she has been in an open confrontation allegedly over
his ambition to return to the House of Representatives.
A Scenario had played out where the wife of the Anambra state
Governor , Chief Mrs Eberechukwu Obiano at her local government tour promised the
Speaker automatic ticket which caused tension and near free for all situation by
Ogene supporters.
Often the speaker supporters had referred to Ogene as a
common journalist allegedly having worked with Source before going into the House
while Ogene supporters referred to Nwaebili as common hairdresser having allegedly
operated a saloon before being elected into the House where she emerged Speaker
since inception. They forgot things have changed.
The Speaker Nwaebili therefore observed an undiluted rapport between the members of the State House of Assembly and the Governor, described the publication as a calculated attempt to cause disaffection between the legislature and the Executive arm of government.
She reiterated the call for politicians to eschew politics of calumny.
Princess Nwaebili who warned of irresponsible political utterances, vowed that the current session of the State House of Assembly can never be at logger head with the Executive over party issue.
She maintained that the legislature will work harmoniously with the executive to give the people of Anambra State good governance and explained that the House had never held the governor to ransom over automatic ticket.
Chief Press Secretary,
Mr. Fidelis Nwakwesili, signed the release.
