AS 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION DRAWS NEARER NUF REVIEWS THE PERFORMANCE OF THE P.D.P LED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON SOUTH EAST AND THE SCORE CARD IS ZERO. NUF ENDORSE PRESIDENT OF IGBO EXTRACTION COME 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF) an Igbo socio-cultural organization World Wide wishes to alert the Igbo’s all over the world on Non performance of the P.D.P led Federal Government from 1999 till date.

The review was done after over three months tour of South East and all part of the countries only to discover that P.D.P led Federal Government always promises Ndigbo heaven and earth only to abandon us when Election is over. Today is no-longer news that Onitsha Seapot is a mirage and the so called Enugu international Airport is nothing to write home about because since President Goodluck Jonathan led administration does the so called international Airport. We are yet to see first class Airline due to poor facilities because it is not of international standard. The much media hype Sam Mbakwe international Cargo Airport is a mirage. Are  we to talk of  roads in South East, industry, Agriculture, housing, pipe-born water, urban and rural development. All these sector mention are non existing in the South East region of this country. Today all our Federal roads are death traps, South East is home of commerce and the Federal Government  has not deem fit to site industrial Estate in Anambra and Abia State. The P.D.P led Federal Government has not also consider Agric potential in Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo State by making these states food basket of Africa. While housing, urban and rural development of South East  is neglected  by the P.D.P led Federal Government under  the past leadership and current President Goodluck Jonathan. While other zones are getting their own share of development South East are been neglected despite all natural spring water that abound in South East the Government has not construct any dam for Agriculture. Today 90% of the South East cannot access portable drinking water.

It is unfortunate that Ndigbo cannot count the teeth with the tongue, despite all the failed promises made to us by the P.D.P led Federal Government both past and present that is why I decided to wake Ndigbo up from slumber because another election is around the corner and the so called Igbo leaders is now mortgaging our future by drawing support for the P.D.P led Government under President Goodluck Jonathan for another term in office thereby fore closing the chance of President of Igbo extraction come 2015. NUF wishes to alert Ndigbo that any votes Ndigbo gives to Presidential Candidate of P.D.P in 2015 will be a doom for us. This is time for us to take our destiny into our hands by rejecting P.D.P led Federal Government comes 2015 because they have failed us for the past fifteen years without any meaningful development. I hereby urge Ndigbo to come together and actualized President of Igbo extraction that is the only way we can be liberated from political and Economic bondage which Ndigbo has been subjected since 1970.

It is high time we take our destiny into our hands and fight for what is rightful ours. It is obvious we are being marginalized, weather consciously or unconsciously. The South-South has been compensated with the emergency of President Jonathan.  Our voice has to be heard and we believe in pen fight and not violence, in dialogue and not terrorist we are enlightened and therefore we should reason and find a compromise. But one issue seem to crop up any time the talk of an Igbo President arise, who is eligible enough to represent us? We have taken our time to study the performance of the various politicians in the region and I must say that it is not an easy task, at least not as it may appear. Factors like performances, popularity, flexibility and acceptance, as many of us may be now, a huge fans of the, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu and Ogbonnaya Onu both former Governors of Abia State, Senator Ken Nnamani former Senate President, Senator Chris Ngige former Governor of Anambra State and present Imo State Governor Rochas Okorcha has earned the Trust, Respect and Love of the Igbos. They realized that we lack exemplary leadership and has taken it upon themselves to set a standard, a very high one at that. There is no doubt that we would be over whelmed by their achievement considering the work they have done. At this point we would advocate that a movement for the actualization of an Igbo President come 2015 be top of the agenda of every Igbo irrespective of their political affliction and obligation. Until an Igbo President is endorsed, there is no equality, no fairness, no democracy and of course NO NATION.
