Obi’s Exit Would Not Affect APGA, As Thousands Enter APGA In Asaba

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh, yesterday at a rally in Asaba , Delta state who spoke in said that the exit of former Anambra State.
Governor Peter Obi to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would
not affect the fortunes of the party.

APGA said it is impressed with his transformation agenda and unprecedented achievement in infrastructure, agriculture, power sector and security of President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2015 presidential election and endorsed him formally.

The party said it would not field any candidate for the presidential
election, but advised its faithful to vote for Jonathan in the
presidential and the party’s candidates in other elections.
Umeh, who was in the Delta State capital to receive hundreds of All
Progressives Congress (APC) members led by Chief Anthony Izuya and the
PDP supporters who decamped to APGA, said the fortunes of the party
were not sliding as so many people have switched allegiance to the
party since Obi left.

The APGA Chairman said: “Yesterday, Obi left alone but today, we
have received thousands of people. When people leave, others come.
That is democracy for you. If there is any problem, people will not be
trooping to APGA. It is like a church, as you are leaving, people are
coming in. We are happy that Obi left and seven thousands people
joined today.’’
