N1 Million At Offers On Friday 31st October, 2014 As Maiden Edition Of Miss Independence Anambra Ends
The organizers have no money making in mind at least for this first edition it appears to following turn out at the maiden edition of Miss
Independence Anambra which is climaxing this Friday and it is already underway yesterday with shortlisted contestants
storming Awka for camping.
The beauty pageant which is a baby
of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS is one of the innovations being
introduced by the station's Managing Director/CEO, Mr Uche Nworah in fulfillment
of his resolve to make the broadcasting firm a world class.
From over 50 hopefuls, 20 top
finalists were selected for the week long camp activities for the historic Miss
Independence Anambra 2014 pageant.
Contestants were treated to a
classical Welcome Party at Trig-Point Hotels which had in attendance the
Director of the Miss Independence Anambra 2014, Nwando Okwuosa, (Miss
Nigeria, 2003/2004), the following commissioners; Obi Nwankwo (Science and
Technology), Evaristus Uba (environment), Tony Onyima (Information and Culture)
and Prof Solo (Budget and Planning).
Also present were Mr Willie Nwokoye
(Principal Secretary to Chief Willie Obiano), James Eze and Emeka Ozumba,
Senior Special Assistant and Special Assistant to Gov Obiano on Media.
Some Chief Executives in the State
were also spotted at the party including Chief Jonas Tabansi, CEO of Adama
Benjo, Chief Ben Uba, MD, Ben Flo Ltd and many other dignitaries.
