In his bid to avoid contact of Ebola virus and other infectious diseases
including mosquito bites which cause malaria, the Ogbaru Local Government Area chairman,
Anambra State, Chief Victor Nwachukwu Agolua Idoga, today vowed to fumigate the
entire communities in the Area.
He made the vow during a reception organized for him by the Ogbaru People's Forum to thank God for the Chairman's victory both at the Election Petition Tribunal and at the Appeal court.
According to him when
the environment is kept clean people will not be in contact with such killer diseases
adding that all hands must be on desk to achieve this.
On how to explore the abundant resources there he hinted that a private sector partnership steering committee will be inaugurated today towards that effect.
His words, "the committee will explore the facilities in the area with a view to utilizing the resources for the benefit of the people".

“As you can see we are not going back on the development of the area to help create employment for our youths and the industries and banks are not left out in contributing to this objective".
Contributing, the Special Assistant to the chairman on Media and Political Matters, Sir Peter Okala expressed satisfaction with the honour done to the council chairman by the Ogbaru People's Forum adding that it was an honour well deserved.
He stated that the chairman is putting every machinery in place to curtail the suffering of the people in the area and urged the forum not to relent in its support to the chairman and to always call him to order whenever they felt he has derailed.
Sir Peter Okala stressed the need for concerted efforts of the people in moving the area forward pointing out that the area is blessed with abundant human and material resources stating, "it only needs proper handling to achieve the objectives which the coucil is struggling to achieve."
Earlier in his speech on behalf of the forum, the Vice President, Hon. Donatus Nnamdi, pledged that the forum would ensure the return of the council chairman if he performs creditably well hinting that as a founding president of the forum, the council chairman knows the political strength of the forum members.
