The Chairman of Dangote Group, Mr. Aliko
Dangote, has slipped down to 26th position from the 23rd position he had
previously occupied since March this year in the latest Forbes Magazine world
billionaires ranking released on Tuesday.
The Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group’s real time net worth also reduced to $23.7bn from $25bn, Forbes said. Nigeria’s cement mogul however remains Africa’s richest man.
Other Nigerians on the billionaires list are Globacom’s Mike Adenuga, ranked 310th with a net worth of $4.8billion.
BUA Group’s Abdulsamad Rabiu and Fashion billionaire Folorunsho Alakija, with assets valued at $2.5 billion. She is ranked 715th in the world.
The world’s richest man is still the Mexican telecom giant, Carlos Slim Helu. His wealth is estimated at $82billion, followed by Bill Gates at $80 billion. Warren Buffet comes third with $67billion.
