Court Suspends Abia PDP Delegates Congress , As Anambra Plans Congress

A Federal High Court sitting the Federal Capital Territory Abuja has granted injunction to suspend  the Abia delegate congress scheduled for Saturday November 1, 2014.

Two members of the party have asked the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, to sack the committee, which they said was set up to stop certain people from participating in the elections.
In an affidavit deposed to on their behalf by V. I. Uma, the plaintiffs, Chiefs Igwe Chukwu and Eche James, insisted that the committee offended the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Guidelines for Primary Elections, 2014 and the Constitution of Peoples Democratic Party, 2012 (as amended).
This is coming as the Chief Kenneth Emeakayi led faction of the PDP in  Anambra state are at the moment deciding how the Anambra congress would look like and how to accommodate all factions and interests. The event is holding at Marble Arch hotels Awka………………………….detials later
