Boebie Solomons has become the
second South African Premiership coaching casualty of a season that is just 25
days old.
The experienced coach was fired
Monday two days after second-from-bottom Polokwane City suffered a fourth
consecutive league loss, slumping 3-0 at home to Orlando Pirates.
Cavin Johnson, axed by SuperSport
United last Friday following three losses in four games, could replace
Solomons.
Recently sacked South Africa coach
Gordon Igesund is the media favourite to take over at three-time former
champions SuperSport.
Huge prize money in the Premiership
and three cup competitions places enormous pressure to succeed on the 16
top-tier coaches.
Another boss in trouble is Craig
Rosslee, coach of bottom club AmaZulu, the only Premiership side without a win
this season.
