Federal Government has added two more days to the October 1, 2014 already declared as public holiday to mark Nigeria’s 54th Independence Anniversary.
The two other days also declared
public holidays are; Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 October, 2014 to mark the
Id-el-Kabir celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Com. Abba
Moro, announced the dates in a statement in Abuja.
Moro urged “Nigerians both home and
abroad to build a more united and virile nation that would be the pride of all
Nigerians wherever they live.”
While congratulating Muslim
faithful, the minister enjoined them to support Jonathan administration in its
“sustained efforts to building a peaceful, united and virile nation.”
Moro called on all Nigerians to use
the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
