Woman Arrested For Killing Boyfriend In Ondo

                       

Ondo State Police Command has arrested a middle-aged woman, Miss Busayo for allegedly killing her boyfriend. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Isaac Eke, said the suspect allegedly poured petrol on her boyfriend identified as Anthony during a disagreement between the two.

He stated that the deceased’s neighbour reported the case at Fanibi Police Divisional Headquarters in Akure, adding that the police swung into action and arrested the suspect.

The police commissioner, who assured that the police would get to the root of the matter, said the suspect, would soon be charged to court.

While reiterating the commitment of the command to ensure peace in the state and make it a difficult terrain for crime, Eke informed that the state police command also recovered arms from suspected armed robbers operating in the state, while 36 suspects had been charged to court for various criminal offences.

The commissioner also paraded a suspected fake female soldier terrorizing the people of Akure, the state capital. Eke said the fake soldier identified as Tonye, was first arrested at a check-point by the military men of 323 Artillery, Akure and handed over to the police but was later granted bail.

Eke stated that the suspect was again arrested at military checkpoint at Igbara-Oke while in a military uniform performing  security duties.

The suspect however, told Daily Sun that she resulted to the illegal act when life became miserable for her, saying “it was when I was searching for means of survival that I got myself involved in the criminal act.”

She confessed that she bought the military uniform from a shop in Delta State and pleaded for mercy, promising not to return to the illegal act if pardoned.
