Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has released an handbook that contained names, contact addresses as well as phone numbers of every individual that has something to do with today’s election in Osun State.
The 18-page book reveals that there are 29 accredited observers out of which 19 are domestic and 10 foreign. Also, it shows that there are 30 Electoral Officers, 30 Assistant Electoral Officers (Administration) and 30 Assistant Electoral Officers (Operations), with their phone numbers and their office contact addresses.
Also found in the handbook is the number of registered voters and number of voting units. According to the book, a total number of 1, 407, 222 were registered for the poll that would take place in 3,379 Voting Points. It also breaks down the data along all the 30 Local Governments, their Codes, Units, registered voters per LG as well as their Voting Points.
The grand total of the break down puts number of Registration Areas (RAs), at 332, Units at 3, 010, Registered Voters at 1, 407, 222, while Voting Points stand at 3, 379.
In all, male registered voters stand at 661, 395 (47%), while their female counterparts stand at 745, 828 (53%).
It also contained the names of all the 20 parties’ candidates along with their running mates as well as the list of members of Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), in the state.
The book, which has the map of Nigeria on its cover page, reveals that the population of the state, according to Census figure of 2006, is 3, 423, 535.

With the hand book, journalists covering today’s election would have little or no problem clarifying issues concerning the election since all the phone numbers of all that have one thing or the other to do with the poll.
