Cultism: The Anambra Varsity Student Shot By Alleged Cultists Had Final Procession Amidst Wailing ; What A Handsome Guy Lost

 Tears flowed freely as Students of  Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University, Uli  remembered their fallen colleague Uzoigwe Stanley Onyekachi , 500 level student of Mechanical Engineering allegedly killed by cultists in a Bar, odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com. They held a memorial procession to mourn him even though he was buried last month or so.  

The students were clad in black attire, weeping and wailing as they marched from the University’s main gate to various offices on campus slightly warning others to desist from such acts that would  create bad image against the school. They carried the portrait of the deceased around as a mark of honour. It was indeed terrible.

 Another story had it that he was shot by a rival cult Group after a misunderstanding between him and a guy simply identified as Sule from the department of Chemical Engineering both in the same institution.

The alleged Killer is now with the police assisting them with investigation even as the school is saying it happened outside the school premises but commiserated with the family of the deceased.

They students refused to speak pointedly to be quoted but gthey kept lamenting each the death of Stanley  describing it as shocking . They said he was friendly and jovial and does not deserve to die.

A friend of the late Stanley , former SUG president, Comrade Akubueze Chukwuebuka, told odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com that late Stanley was good and encouraged students to seek protection from God.

He said , "His exit is a monumental loss. He was one of our best; hardworking and respectful. Stanley’s death is a sad news for us. We are not happy with the death of this friendly colleague. Students here are touched because she was a good colleague.”

It would be recalled that Odogwuemekaodogwu.com exclusively reported that following a clash between suspected cultist groups at a beer parlour at Obodokoli Junction Uli , Uzoigwe was killed.

It happened by 9 pm when an argument between friends turned bloody at Item 7 Restaurant as a suspected cultist pulls a gun and shatter the life of Uzoigwe Stanley from Mechanical Engineering department.

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com gathered that Late Uzoigwe is from Orlu in Imo state was a member of 2:2 confraternity allegedly. He was seen as a bright student and future hope of his family even as they said he was an only child. He was said to be an Adviser to the former Students Union President.

Vice Chancellor of the University , Prof Fidelis Okafor had said that a cultist was killed by another of the same fraternity at a beer parlour at the Uli Town remote from the University following a disagreement among them

The University is not connected with the episode and it could have happened at Onitsha. It is very unfortunate and sad indeed. 

Anambra state police confirmed the incident describing it as cult war which they have already commenced investigations into it.
