odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that goods and property worth several millions of naira at the motorcycle parts market were gutted by fire during an inferno that mysteriously razed the market.
Member
representing Idemili North in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Tony One
Week Muonagor, who disclosed this during plenary session called on the
Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and the State Emergency Management Agency
(SEMA) to urgently come to the aid of the motorcycle parts traders whose goods
were gutted by fire during the inferno.
Mr.
Muonagor who recalled the traumatic experience of the traders in an attempt to
reach the fire service, observed the need to equip the institution to be able
to face future challenges.
The
legislator who urged the state government to relocate the market because of its
proximity to residential buildings, commiserated with the victims.
Mr.
Muonagor also called on the Anambra State Waste Management Agency to
immediately discontinue the disposal waste site at Mgbachu community in Nkpor.
According
to him, the measure is to quell the now constant assault by flies on innocent
