reports that President Goodluck Jonathan has launched the new 64-page
e-passport in Abuja, today.
Presidential spokesman Reuben Abati,
in a tweet, said,” the new e-passport conforms with
international best practice and will be of more benefits to travellers,
as it is gender friendly, forestalls identity
theft, cheaper for the aged & low income earners.
Abati continued: The new e-passport
for people below 18yrs and above 60 yrs is N8,750, while change of name
as a result of marriage or divorce is also N8,750.”
