Exclusive: 75 Years Oldest South-East Bachelor, Nwobu Alor Says Nobody Intercedes Between Him And God Almighty

               

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports exclusively that this Defunct Member of the Old Anambra state House of Assembly as well as a former Special Adviser to Governor Peter Obi on Parks and Markets , Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor  is in the league of bachelors in Anambra state in particular and South East in general  and seems to be the oldest in the zone. He is aging gracefully. 

Chief S. Nwobu-Alor as he is fondly called is 75 years old . He was born December 2, 1937. He knows he is yet to be married but is not perturbed by that as he said no one has right  to question his choice to life .

He was the Campaign Coordinator of Peter Obi in 2003 and later Chairman of All Nigerian Conference of Political Parties (CNPP)Anambra state chapter before he was appointed into Government. All efforts to push him out then by detractors have been resisted even though he is not desperate for any position.

Today he is an iroko so to speak for daring to fight the National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh through his National APGA Stakeholders Forum but Umeh has shown some stuff. He is known for wearing white and white from hair to toe but in special occasions could wear something else but his dress code is white upon white starting from cap to shoes and wears,odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports further. 

 On his Bachelorhood position odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that Nwobu insisted that the person speaking about his private situation concerning marriage need to re-examined. He refused to answer some revealing questions.

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com  sought to know why he is yet be hooked and this was his answer exclusively ,’’ I am not going to answer that because I think it is a personal issue and nobody has the right to tell me how to live my life. You have the right to live your life as long as you are living within the limits of the law. I have mine too to live. So far anybody to go as low as to discuss whether I am married or not, that person’s head need to be reexamined because he is hitting below the belt. So, I would not answer that question.

But odogwuemekaodogwu.com further probe having not been satisfied with that answer and sought to know whether he is a chief priest  and rather got a startling answer, ’’I don’t know what that means but I am a very religious person. I believe in religion my philosophy is that this world is my church.. The entire world is my church. And to do good is my religion. And I think if you do good at all times and avoid doing bad at all times. You are very close to God. So I am a man of God at all times whether people like it or not nobody is an intermediary between Nwobu Alor and God. I don’t here an intermediary. I direct my needs to the Almighty God and I want to tell that I have the faith not just believe. And whatever I ask him to do for me that is reasonable to does’’.

As if not satisfied with the answers got , odogwuemekaodogwu.com demanded to know why he is answering an English name which means he got baptized and he answered,’’  I wish that I have the ideas I have now when I was a kid. If you see the way I write my name. I don’t say Sylvester. You people put Sylvester. I write S. Nwaobu Alor. You can guess what S means. I want to put it in a minor and the other one in a major’’.

  And to lessen the tension already built , odogwuemekaodogwu.com would have probed to know whether he enjoys sex or if he is an eunuch or whatever even though rumour mill had it that sex is his favourite food and past time after  his private devotion allegedly. Chief Nwobu Alor anchored Governor Peter Obis campaign and gathered  materials for the court cases that saw him back to office before and after impeachment. He is one of the oldest politicians in Anambra . He comes from the same town if not village with Governor Peter Obi.

 Those who know him describes him as maverick. He has to some extent dosed the tension in most markets in Anambra state and harmonized elections in the markets.

His home is a Mecca of sought as many politicians attest to his being of help to them in any way you can think even though Chief Nwobu-Alor had said he has no money but goodwill and closer to God.   He is not yet a cabinet member to Governor Willie Obiano’s government but he still has hope of been appointed although not begging  for it. He believes he has the solution to parks and markets and Obiano is considering doing something in that direction.

He lives in a palace of a sort probably built when he was in the House but still in compliance of today’s architectural taste, interior and exterior inclusive. He derives peace in seeing people happy and does not want the unhappiness of anybody at all times hence his head is cracking on how best to bring the warring parties in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) together to clinch major political elective positions like senatorial and House of Representatives the state before extending to other states of the federation . His efforts assisted APGA in wining election for Obiano.

 

 Chief Nwobu Alor bears no grudges to anybody since unity , peace and love is the greatest thing one would give his or her neighbour and not quarrels  as obtainable in this part of the world which he blamed on selfishness and greedy. But odogwuemekaodogwu.com may doubt that area because of the roles of his supporters in the party but time will tell during the Obiano administration especially now that Chief Victor Umeh have been confirmed the authentic APGA Chief.

 

 

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com was drawn to the issue of Nwobu Alor being the oldest Bachelor by Mater Holding Nig Ltd whose General Manager, Nnaeto Onwuzurumba Esq.  when the company in annoyance that Chief Nwobu-Alor tasked them to complete a contract it is handling in Nnewi to stop the destruction of traders goods in the market as the flood was channeled into the market then in 2009 called him the oldest Bachelor who should not be in government with position of responsibility.

 To this Nwobu-Alor said the company should leave calling him names and address the issue which is if the contract is done according to specification and on the time range given to it since even a novice knows it portends danger to channel flood in to the market. He advised the company to finish their contract job and stop creating confusion between the government and the traders. But this was in the past, as they may have reconciled now.
