Breaking News: Female Bomber Kills Self, Injures Two Police Officers In Kano As Catholic Church Bombed In Kano , 6 Killed , Many Injured

   Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com reports that the Kano State Police Command has confirmed that six people have been killed and eight others injured in the blast in two separate bomb attacks in the city on today’s afternoon even as moslems mark Eid-el-Fitri. Odogwuemekaodogwu.blogspot.com reports that the bomb explosion occurred after a Sunday mass service at St Charles Catholic Church in the No Man’s Land area of the state capital.Unofficial report had it that many were feared dead and scores injured in the No man’s land bomb explosion.
Police spokesman Frank Mba said that the bomb was “probably an IED (improvised explosive device) thrown from across the street” at the Saint Charles Catholic Church in Kano’s Sabon Gari district, which has suffered previous attacks by the Islamist group Boko Haram
In a related incident, a female suicide bomber died after detonating an explosive device that injured two policemen at Kofar Nasarawa near the Northwest University, Kano.
“The incident happened when the policemen stopped the woman who was heading to the university,” according to one report of the incident.
“She blew herself up when the policemen attempted to stop her, while the officers sustained injuries,” the report added.
Already there is tension as Igbo people mostly dominating the zone are after all Hausa people who are seen  as potential bombers but soldiers are calming disrupting gathering of Igbo youths to avoid a reprisal attack.
