Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that the
Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Princess Chinwe Nwaebili, has
advocated for continued synergy between the Church and government.
The Speaker who was speaking at
Madonna Catholic Church, Iyiowa Odokpe during her thanksgiving Mass, observed
the need for all to join hands in fast -tracking the development of the
state.
Speaker Nwaebili who reiterated the
call by the State government for all the youths in the state to register at
their various local government head quarters which will serve as a data base
for future employment, expressed the readiness of the State House Assembly to
entertain the request for free education by the children of the parish.
In an address, the secretary of the
parish council, Mr.Nath Humo, who acknowledged the exploits of the Speaker in
the area, visa-vis various projects executed as well as gift items to the
people, called the attention of the Speaker to the problem facing them, such as
excessive flooding and their inability to acquire the adjacent land to the
Church for the building of School.
Delivering an address on behalf of
the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) Madonna Parish Iyiowa,
Odekpe , the secretary, Miss Chinasa Ehuche who enumerated the challenges
facing the organization, expressed appreciation to the Speaker for her
effective representation, especially for empowering the (CYON) Iyiowa region.
Earlier in a sermon, the parish
Priest of Madonna Catholic parish, Iyiowa Odoekpe, Rev.Fr. Hyginus
Nwandu, who spoke on the mystery surrounding the Trinity, observed that
the life of man itself is a mystery.
He commended the effective
utilization of God’s gift to the Speaker and recalled the selfless services she
has rendered to her people and the state in general, but not without praying
for God’s blessings and break-through in all her undertakings.

the presentation of awards of excellence to the Speaker by the Madonna
Community of Odoekpe
