35th Priestly Anniversary: Bishop Ezeokafor Congratulates Fr. Attansey

        

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor has congratulated the Fides Communication, Okpuno, Awka South L.G.A, deputy Director 1, Very Rev.Fr. Dr. Matthew Attansey, on his 35^th year’s priestly anniversary of working in the Lord’s vineyard.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Bishop, Mr. Abuchi Onwumelu, Bishop Ezeokafor described Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Matthew Attansey as a simple, hard working and humane servant of God, noting that he (Fr. Attansey) had shown over the years through his dedicated and committed lifestyle that Gospel could be preached by living a simple life adding that attainment of 35 years in one’s profession and vocation was by no means a mince meat and therefore should be celebrated by all and sundry.

‘We thank God for you Fr. Attansey, it is never an easy task coming this far; we are indeed happy for you. On behalf of the Bishop Emeritus, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Simon Akwali Okafor the priests, religious and the entire lay faithful of Awka Diocese, I say congratulations to you for not only living the faith but for the way and manner you go about your functions as a priest of God, he continued

‘We will continue praying for you because we know that you still have a lot to offer, your wealth of experience can never be bought in the market, that is why we should continue to pray to God for his guidance, wisdom, understanding, blessings upon you. We say keep the flag flying. Do not relent or despair; just continue with your good works. We once more say congratulations to you our dear Fr. Attansey,’ Bishop Ezeokafor said.
