The National Conscience Party, NCP, Anambra state
chapter has called on Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State to drop the use
of arms only in fighting insecurity in the state but should consider youth
employment as an alternative of turning the minds of the leaders of tomorrow in
better prospective.
Speaking during the induction of a House of Assembly
aspirant for Ogbaru II State Constituency, Mr. Arinze Nzelu, the National
Chairman of the party, Unusa Tank represented by the state chairman, Sir Peter
Okala urged Governor Obiano to remain focused and tackle the issue of youth
unemployment as panacea to solving insecurity in the state.
Welcoming Nzelu into the party, Sir Okala who
described NCP as youth based party also called on the Anambra state governor to
double his efforts in the area of creating jobs and employment for the teeming
youths instead of using guns and other dangerous weapons to fight crime and
criminality across the state.
He called on the governor to also address the issue of
engaging the youths in the agriculture so that the state would become one of
the food baskets of the nation while assuring that the party shall always
support the genuine policies of the administration in the state to excel.
Earlier, the newly admitted member of the party and
Ogbaru Ward II state Assembly hopeful, Mr. Arinze Nzelu said his choice of
joining National Conscience Party, NCP was informed by the leadership and the
integrity of the political party which he said would enthrone peaceful
democracy in the country beyond other political parties.
Mr. Nzelu further said that the party through its
founder, late Gani Fawhemi had sacrificed his life for the good governance,
adding that with the party in place, the democratic system in the country shall
be upheld.
