Robbers Molest Reverend Fr Ebebe , Rob Austica College Nanka Of Millions

Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports exclusively that gun wielding robbers have invaded the Austica Memorial College Nanka in Orumba North Local government area molesting the Principal Rev Fr Dr Cosmas Ebebe and stealing cash and valuables worth several millions of naira.

Following the dramatic robbery and molestation weekend ,Fr Ebebe  locked up himself for over 24 hours fasting , praying and crying to God to intervene as Money withdrawn for ongoing projects in the school and monies raised for the centenary celebrations were allegedly stolen.

Unauthorized Police sources confirmed the robbery incident but the Anambra state police command PPRO Emeka Chukwuemeka said he would get back to Orient Daily as at the time of filing in this report.

 Eye witness confirmed to odogwuemekaodogwu.com that the gun men numbering over 10 came in the middle of the night and disarmed the security men before asking them to call the Principal, Rev Fr Dr Cosmas Ebebe that there is emergency and on hearing emergency at the hostel rushed down to the school.

And on getting down to the hostel without discovering any emergency went back to his residence without knowing that some of the robbers had discreetly entered his residence when he went out, they surrendered him humiliating him in the process of demanding for the money he withdrew for the work and the money raised for centenary celebrations. 

He was taunted, beaten and molested stealing all they could lay their hands on including his phones and laptops .  odogwuemekaodogwu.com was told the robbery lasted for over 3 hours without intervention from security men , both conventional and unconventional . The Parish Priest’s residence was also vandalized as the robbers invaded his residence too. 

He then went in and locked up himself  for hours trying to commune with God on why he allowed that happen to Austica Memorial school. The Parish Priest of St Anthony Catholic Church travelled to Lagos when this happened to source for money for the centenary celebrations. 

 Rev Fr Dr Ebebe had reported to the Ekwulobia police station but they told him they have no jurisdiction over the community and directed him to Oko police station.  He later went to Oko police station to report but  was told the DPO travelled and up till now according to him, nothing has been done. He was worried allegedly too that there was no response either by the Vigilante men whose phones were switched off at the time after the robbery. 

Efforts by odogwuemekaodogwu.com to contact Fr Dr Ebebe for comments on situation so far proved abortive as he was still mourning the robbery.

But in a reaction , a friend to Fr Dr Cosmos Ebebe and Director Center for Moral Mentorship , Mrs Maureen Chima confirmed the robbery incident saying Fr Ebebe had been indoors without seeing anybody for several hours praying, and crying on the lost he recorded in the robbery incident and why should such orchestrated robbery happen in a time like this in Anambra state. 

Mrs Chima appealed on the security agencies to ensure the robbers  are arrested and brought to book  to deter other , even as she appealed to the state government to assist Fr Dr Ebebe in any way it could to recover from the lost he recorded by the crime. 

She told odogwuemekaodogwu.com that she was shocked that a clergy could be humiliated and molested in a school even as she thanked God there was no stamped by students during such nasty robbery incident.
