Riley Allen Mullins, 28, of Port
Orchard, Wash., was charged Friday with second-degree robbery after authorities
say he tried to friend his victim on Facebook.
A woman was sitting at the Bremerton
ferry terminal Tuesday when authorities say a man hit the back of her head,
grabbed her iPod and purse, and took off.
She told investigators the man had a
distinctive triangle-shaped tattoo on his neck.
The next day, she got a Facebook
friend request and recognized the sender as her attacker.
A woman’s iPod and purse were stolen
by a man who smacked her in the back of the head, grabbed both items and ran.
The next day he sent a friend request to her Facebook acccount. She recognized
him and his triangle tattoo from photos he had posted on his page.
Weirder still, she saw a close-up
photo of his triangle tattoo on his Facebook page.
A Facebook page for Riley Mullins,
with his home listed as Port Orchard, is still up on the Internet. There are
several photos of himself posted there, with close-ups of the distinctive
triangle-shaped tattoo on his neck.
