How Governor Obiano And Super Sports Entertainment Shared 1,000 Balls To Anambra Children

                             
Anambra state government has ordered the immediate closure of all ‘miracle and wonder schools’ in all parts of the state.
This was disclosed at the weekend by Gov Willie Obiano during special workout by school children under the ages 8-13 at the Rojenny Games Village and Sports stadium in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
Already the teachers and proprietors of such schools have been placed on the watch list. 

The governor, through the instrumentality of the goodwill of his Commissioner for Sports, Chief Tony Nnachetta, was honoured by the Super sports Entertainment television and Multichoice, spearheaded by their Lets Play Ambassador and ex-international soccer star, Victor Ikpeba, and the General Manager, Felix Awogu. They provided Obiano with 1000 football to stimulate the game of football in the boys in the state aged 8-13 who were drawn from the 21 councils in the state. He said the state would in the next three months set up a standard football club as part of Youth development and employment.  
Obiano disclosed that his administration’s attention has now been shifted to the General hospitals in the state with a view to refurbishing and equipping them to a high acceptable standard.
The governor also announced his readiness to close down any market, office or shop that fails to adapt to the reinvigorated sanitation exercise in the state in his drive to secure a clean habitable environment all over the state.
The Youths/Sports commissioner, Chief Nnachetta thanked the governor for disclosing that the state would within the next 90 days float a standard football club. He stated that his office was keen in carrying out the governor’s directive satisfactorily.
Ikpeba and Awogu expressed keen interest in assisting the state in talent discoveries and cooperation to harness them.
The governor harped on hardwork, industry and the age long dogged spirit of Anambra people, stressing his administration wants to rediscover, reintroduce and see the people imbibe then again.
The governor said, “We have now directed the return of exercises and Physical Education (PE) in schools. We must return to the days of hard work and the core value system and discipline…” Especially now that most schools in the state have been returned to the missions who were the original owners!
 
He got a rousing ovation when he announced that the government is also introducing aerobics in schools with music equipment to go with it. These, he pointed out would return the state to the good old days when the state was popular in games, sports and positive inspirational conduct.
