Dubem Obaze Fires Ngige, Ubah And Nwoye Over Tribunal Case

The Director of Operations, Obiano Campaign Organization, Sir Dubem Obaze has described the judgment of the Anambra state Governorship Election Tribunal as a watershed for Democracy in Nigeria.

Reacting to the judgment of the Tribunal which upheld the election of Chief Willie Obiano as the validly elected Governor of Anambra State in last November Governorship Election in the State, Chief Obaze said the victory has demonstrated that the mandate freely given by the people of Anambra state cannot be vitiated.

He further described the Chief Obiano victory as victory for all Anambra people who trooped out in mass to elect their Governor.

The Director of Operation who was the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy in the last administration, recalled that APGA campaigned vigorously to earn victory in the election, said that victory will not be thwarted by bad election losers who wanted to subvert the wishes of the people.

Chief Obaze reiterated his confidence on the Judiciary as the baton of hope for our fledgling democracy.

He therefore called on the petitioners to sheet their swords and team up with Governor Obiano administration to engender the developmental programmes in the overall interest of the state.” I will like to appeal to those who lost in the tribunal to rally round Governor Willie Obiano so that he will concentrate in the piloting of ship of state''.
