Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that Maxi Okwu purported National Chairman and Dr Chike Obidigbo purported Governorship candidate and Chief Shedrack Anakwue ,purported State Chairman of  faction of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) buried their faces as jubilation erupted in Anambra , South East and Nigeria at large over the victory of Chief Victor Umeh led APGA at the Appeal Court in Abuja yesterday.

Their members who were ready to erupt in jubilation having believed the Appeal court will deliver judgment in their favour dropped all the chgamberlimns and drums they came out with and disappeared before Umeh’s group who were not sure jumped out in celebrations.
Meanwhile odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that the Former Governor of Anambra state, Chief Peter Obi, has described the victory of the Chief Victor Umeh led All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as the ‘will of God and His design to bring lasting peace to APGA’.
Obi was reacting amidst thunderous jubilation yesterday in Anambra State as the National Chairman of the Chief Victor Umeh, defeated Chief Maxi Okwu, at the Court of Appeal in Abuja over who is the National Chairman of APGA.
Members of APGA loyal to Umeh, who had been worried over what could be the outcome of the judgment, went wild in jubilation because their chairman, whom they described as ‘political bulldozer’, had been reaffirmed by another Appeal Court.
At the Government House in Awka, the mood was cheerful, as people, especially members of the APGA family gathered to discuss the judgment, which they said had doused tension in the state.
Former governor, Obi, who described APGA as a party that had the capacity to give voice to the Igbo, called on “all factions to see the judgement as God’s design and an opportunity for members of APGA’s family to support Umeh in the re-building of APGA.”
He insisted the party would win most votes in the South-East in the forthcoming elections, adding that members of APGA must come together as brothers and sisters for the feat to be achieved.
Obi debunked the rumour that he planned to quit APGA, noting that the speculation had been on in the past five years and wondered why the peddlers of the rumour were not tired.
Quoting the philosopher, Gabriel Marcel, Obi said: “A man who believes in nothing and a man who depends on nothing is a man without connection.”
Also reacting to the judgement, the member representing Oyi Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Vivian Okadigbo, described it as APGA’s victory and victory for justice.
Also, the Chairman of Idemili South, Prince Henry Ezenwa, said Umeh’s victory was victory for every genuine APGA member and victory for the growth of the party.
Odogwuemekaodogwu.com recalled that the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Wednesday reinstated Chief Victor Umeh as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
The appellate court in a unanimous decision on Wednesday also affirmed Alhaji Sani Shinkafi as the National Secretary of the party.

The three-man panel in its judgment, set aside an earlier decision by Justice Abdulkadir Abdul-kafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which had sacked the Umeh-led National Executive of the party, and installed Chief Maxi Okwu as Chairman.

Umeh and Shinkafi had appealed against the lower court’s judgment, delivered on January 15, 2014.
They argued that Justice Abdul-kafarati had wrongfully assumed jurisdiction over the matter.
Justice Tani Hassan, who read the lead judgment, held that the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the suit.

Justice Hassan also upheld the appellants’ argument to the effect that Okwu, who instituted the case before the trial court, was without the requisite locus standi, having earlier been expelled from the party and ceased to be its member.

He said, “I also uphold all the 12 grounds of appeal brought by the appellants. The trial judge, Justice Abdul-kafarati, should not have assumed jurisdiction to entertain the suit when there is a subsisting judgment of the Court of Appeal Enugu Division, which voided the ruling of Justice Innocent Umezurike of the Enugu State High Court.”
