reports that there was tension in a Kano state as Nigerian Police today discovered
13 explosive devices planted in a Kano mosque.
It was discovered following an information given to the Police by a kind spirited individual about plans to burn the mosque by suspected members of Boko Haram sect.
The police odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports on arriving the mosque after conducting a thorough search discovered the dangerous weapons.
This is coming as the
Enugu state police command today transferred the 21 suspected members of the
Boko Haram Islamic sect arrested in the state last week Wednesday to the Force Headquarters,
Abuja.
The suspects were sent
to Abuja for further questioning. Odogwuemekaodogwu.com reports that they were travelling to Kano with several
military uniforms concealed inside a luxurious bus before being intercepted by
the National Task Force (NATFORCE) at Amala in Udenu Local Government Area of
Enugu state.
They allegedly left
Aba, Abia state but were intercepted at wee hour of Wednesday morning at a
boarder community in Enugu state leading to the northern parts of the country.
The command
spokesman, DSP Ebere Amaraizu while confirming their movement to Abuja however
dismissed reports that they were Boko Haram members.
“Those people have
been transferred to Abuja for further screening. They are no longer with us.
But the command wishes to state that those people are not Boko Haram, this
cannot be possible. Let us not go about saying that they are Boko Haram
members”.
