250 Chibok School Girls: How Can Anambra Speaker Call For Conditional Release Of Girls?

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Princess Chinwe Nwaebili, has called on the citizenry to pray fervently for the conditional release of over two hundred Chibok abducted school girls.

The Speaker made the call at Saint Gregory De Great parish, Iyiowa, Odoekpe in Ogbaru Local Government Area during the installation of the speaker as the grand patron of Catholic Youth Organization of Saint Gregory Parish.

The Speaker, who condemned the spate of bombings in the country, regretted that many families have been rendered homeless by the activities of insurgents.

The Speaker expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome her present security challenges if her leaders and the citizens would run to God.

Princess Nwaebili who commended the youths of Saint Gregory De Great Parish, Iyiowa Odekpe for finding her worthy to be their grand patron, called on the people to co- operate with government in order to win the war against terrorism.

The Speaker appreciated the honour accorded her by the youths with the donation of sewing machines, wheel barrows, generating sets, clippers, and five hundred thousand naira to the youths.

In a remark, the Parish Priest, who describe the Speaker as a good representative of Ogbaru two constituency announced that every community in the constituency had benefited from the Speaker’s democracy dividends.

He also said that the speaker was reputed for her conflict resolution and prompt response to crisis situation.
In a welcome address, the president of CYON for Saint Gregory De Great Parish, Mr. Ikenna Oduma, disclosed that they have benefited a lot from the speaker since her elevation to her present position in the state.

The speaker later visited members of Fear of God Lucky Game Association, where she was installed as the patron of the association.
The speaker who represented Governor Willie Obiano on the occasion, called on the people to key into the transformation agenda of governor’s led administration, to move the state forward.

In his address, the president of the Association, Mr. Kenneth Elijah, commended governor Obiano for providing adequate security in the state, particularly in Onitsha metropolis.
