UNIZIK GOVERNING COUNCIL APPOINTS PROF. JOSEPH AHANEKU AS VICE-CHANCELLOR

The Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka led by Air Vice Marshal Larry Koinyan (Rtd) has appointed Prof. Joseph Eberendu Ahaneku the new Vice-Chancellor of the University. After an exhaustive meeting held on Monday May 26, 2014, the Council voted eight members for Prof Ahaneku and three members for Prof. Greg Nwakoby.

Joseph E. Ahaneku is a Professor of Chemical Pathology and a Fellow of Academy of Science. Born in 1962, Prof. Ahaneku is coming to the job with a wealth of experience having served the outgoing Prof. Egboka Administration for four years as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration.
Prof. Ahaneku assumes office on June 3, 2014 as the fifth substantive Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
