Service Of Songs Of Late Comrade Tochukwu Udoji-Omelu, Former NUJ,Anambra

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) family across the nation led by the National Vice President of the Union,  Comrade Jude Isiguzo today held the service of song for the Immediate Past Chairman of NUJ Anambra state , late comrade Tochukwu Udoji-Omelu at the Godwin Ezeemo International Press Center Plot P/29 Executive Business District , behind CBN, Awka.

 Almost all the past state chairmen from Anambra state led by the incumbent Henry Nwasike and his Exco and all the chairmen she was elected with in other states of the federation were in attendance.  The members of NUJ family across circles including politics and academia as well as town union leaders and union leaders were in attendance.

The Political class were led by the PPA Governorship candidate , Mr Godwin Ezeemo and wife Nneka as well as Governor Willie Obiano’s representatives led by Commissioner for Information and culture , Tony Onyima and SSA Political Chief Joe-Martins Uzodike among 3 others.

Ifeoma Anumba, the Comrade Princess is the Chairman of the NUJ Burial committee  while Emeka Arince immediate past secretary of NUJ Anambra council anchored the event while Evangelist H.O Alukwu took the living to the cleaners that everybody was sure that time allocated to him to speak was short.

He indeed reinforced the believe in some circles that death is the end of every mortal and all the showmanship at burial means nothing if one did not while alive give his or her life to Jesus Christ.  He reminded every mortal that whatever we do we are nothing but pencils in the hands of he creature. He pointed out that the bragging , intelligence and arrogance means nothing without the Grace of God adding that one is nothing without God’s grace hence nobody is a self made.

He was ready to take many souls to Christ based on personal conviction and many indeed surrendered , and he gave them pamphlet that read, ’’now that you have received Christ’’ as a guide to Jesus Christ in true repentance.

Monsignor Jerome Madueke represented Bishop Ezeokafor while many media heads including Orient GM , Ogbuefi Barnabbas Okonkwo , ABS Acting M/D Comrade Gab Okpalaeze , National Light MD, Obi Nwude who spoke on the lives and times of Comrade Udoji-Omelu late , among hundreds of others.

The Labour leaders were led to the venue by the State Chairman Comrade Patrick Obianyo while Prince Emeka Kalu, State Chairman RATTAWU anchored the DJ.

Late Omelu turned the fortunes of tghe NUJ in Anambra state after it got moribund for sometime. May her gentle soul rest in peace......Amen  . Details in pictures later
