Scholarship: Ekweremadu Doles Out N22.4m To 525 Students

                         

A total of 525 university students from Enugu West and Enugu North senatorial zones Friday received a whopping sum of N22.4 million as bursary and scholarship from Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Out of the total number, 25 of the undergraduates in different higher institutions in the country received N500, 000 each as scholarship, while the remaining 500 students received N30, 000 each as bursary from the lawmaker.

In his speech at the Ikeoha Foundation Adult Literacy Day and 2013/2014 Scholarship and Bursary Award Ceremony which took place at the St. Paul’s College, Oji River local government area of the state, the Deputy Senate President said he was moved to assist the students in order to encourage their educational pursuit.
