A fiery
preacher and founder, Chapel of Faith Assembly International, Onitsha, Anambra
State, Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa has claimed he had the solutions to end the
Boko Haram activities in Nigeria but will disclose that upon consultation by
the constituted authority.
He however
condemned a Facebook comment in which Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer,
Latter Rain Assembly church, Lagos raised alarm that the United States had
concluded plans to destabilize the country to make real, its prediction in 2010
that Nigeria might disintegrate in 2015.
The
statement which part of it reads: “foreigners have invaded our lands. They are
looking for excuses to destabilize us. Orchestration of evil is
going on”….
Bishop
Nwankpa while speaking with the press in Onitsha expressed disappointment in
Pastor Bakare whom he described as a respectable Nigerian.
He, however,
expressed reservation with the entire scenario in which Nigerians themselves
were the ones destabilizing their own country and urged Pastor Bakare to stop
crying foul and restrict himself to winning souls for Christ and fighting
against social injustice rather than accusing the United States and other
foreign powers of plotting to dismantle the country.
The cleric
who is the president, Christian Musicians Association of Nigeria following the
death of Evangelist Sonny Okosun fumed at the outburst of Pastor Bakare and
asked if there was peace in the country, stressing that the pastor should have
been grateful to the United States Government for accepting to assist in
cracking down the activities of Boko Haram and their sponsors which had become
almost impossible for Nigeria’s military to tackle.
He added
that because of the perceived involvement of some powerful politicians and
senior military personnel in the killing spree, stressing that it had now
become imperative for President Goodluck Jonathan to invite foreign powers to
assist Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.
